A woman personified, Mrs. Neeti Aryal Khanal has been honoured as Yak of the month for April, 2008. Australian Leadership Awards Scholarship Awardee (2008), Neeti is truly a woman to watch by those who believe in dreams. With a bag of education and numerous experiences, she stands out from the crowd. Neeti is currently enjoying her Masters’ by Research in Women’s Studies and preparing a proposal on the issues of “War and Motherhood” in Monash Univeristy, one of the top ten in Australia and ranked higher too in world’s best universities.
An art lover with her keen interest in Music and literature, Neeti writes wonderful poems too (to read, www.poemsofneeti.blogspot.com). She has been an English teacher for secondary level to the lecturer for Masters in Sociology in Tribhuvan University. She also worked as a Program Coordinator in Nepal Disabled Women’s Association (NDWA), as an Academic Coordinator for U8, Tribhuvan Society (voluntary position) and as Women Empowerment Officer for Nepal Association of the Blind.
